At Nimo with Love, our appreciation for traditional craftsmanship isn’t limited to India or our Resort collections. There is so much heritage right on our doorstep in Munich. The most famous example is Tracht—dirndls that require genuine artisan skills to be made to last. For a long time, we wanted to pay tribute to our own Bavarian roots, but in our own, relaxed Nimo way.With Birgit Oberbigler, we found the perfect partner. Birgit and her husband Maximilian run Münchner Manufaktur, a traditional tailoring house here in the city. Because we know and love Birgit’s work, this collaboration felt completely natural. The result is a small, limited drop: two dirndl aprons and two blouses featuring our signature embroidery, designed to complement their beautiful dirndls, but made to look just as good long after Oktoberfest is over.
About Münchner Manufaktur
Birgit Oberbigler founded Münchner Manufaktur in 2012 out of a very simple personal desire: she was looking for a traditional Bavarian tailored jacket that had a modern twist, but couldn’t find one. What started with her signature structured janker jackets has grown into a highly respected independent brand run by Birgit and her husband Maximilian. Their focus is completely on genuine quality, detailed craftsmanship, and fine fabrics sourced exclusively from traditional weavers in Germany and Austria. Built to last for generations, their pieces are designed to feel just as natural walking through the city with denim as they do at local Trachten festivals.
